Child sexual abuse is a secret kept with in. Telling is the hardest thing to do because sometimes a parent know and allows it to happen other times it is a parent inflicting the abuse. Sexual abuse is a family secret but breaking the silence helps stop future abuse.

Most of the acts administered in spanking a child are illegal when used on an adult. Slapping can be considered battery and depending on where the slap is administered it can even be considered sexual harassment. This is even true in criminal proceedings. If it is considered too cruel of punishment for criminals, should it be used on children?

Since I have been enlightened as to how these things work, I have come to understand that childhood sexual abuse usually occurs when Mamas arenÂ’t present.Many of the women IÂ’ve spoken to about this issue have told me that they shared custody with the father and had to let their children go to see him when it was his time to have them according to court order. Could this be court ordered child abuse?

Sexual abuse of a child is any inappropriate exposing of a child to any sexual purpose by anyone who has influence on the child, without concern for the child’s well-being. They need to be told they can say “no” to any touching or behavior that makes them feel uncomfortable; and should tell a trusted adult as soon as possible if something like this happens. Unfortunately most children don’t tell, because they are not taught to tell.

Taking responsibility for choices can help a victim to understand that just as the history of abuse may have led to behavior patterns that have become out of control, one can choose other behaviors that will bring a sense of freedom from the emotional and psychological destruction of the abuse, as well as a sense of fulfillment in life.
